Day of Dignity and Freedom
🇺🇦November 21 is celebrated in Ukraine as the Day of Dignity and Freedom. This year, the date marks the tenth time that two significant historical events for Ukrainians – the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013 – are being commemorated.
🇺🇦During the Great War, this day is an opportunity to review our own values. To remember the history of our struggle for justice. To honor the memory of the fallen. On November 21, 2013, the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by the then Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, decided to suspend preparations for the conclusion of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
🇺🇦On that day, several hundred opponents of the decision gathered on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, and on November 24, more than a hundred thousand.
